110 square meters, turning "independence and confidence" into visible business power
Project Materials
Project Name: MONOLOGUE
Project Location: Bicester Shopping Village, Suzhou
Project area: 110 square meters
Service contents: Customized display cabinets, customized props, space design, on-site construction
01 Project Background: The space should speak for the "monologue"
After the upgrading of consumption, young customers place more emphasis on individual expression and self-identity. MONOLOGUE emphasizes "independence, simplicity and fashion", so the store is not only a display container but also a stage for the brand's spirit. 110 square meters is not a large area, but it needs to simultaneously address four issues: brand recognition, display efficiency, smooth circulation, and appropriate atmosphere, and convey the brand attitude in an instant in a fast-paced business environment.
02 Brand Requirements: Four clear points and definite goals
Brand communication: Within three seconds of entering the door, customers can read out "independent, simple and fashionable".
Display and presentation: The exhibition stand/props/counter have strong visual communication power, and the products can "speak" themselves.
Space utilization: Maintain transparency and efficiency within 110 square meters, with clear circulation and no congestion.
Environmental atmosphere: The interior color, material and lighting are in harmony with the brand's temperament, creating an independent and confident space.
03 Core Solution: Integrated Implementation of Picsharping Display
As a super custom factory and space execution team, we follow the path of "strategy first, then design, then manufacture and install" to ensure that "drawings = site".
3.1 Spatial Planning: Single-axis import + rollback line
With the storefront, end view and core display island as the main axis, one side features new products and main promoted series, while the other side showcases standard displays and accessory extensions. The middle section is equipped with a combined experience and test ride area, while the rear is configured with a light negotiation and storage rear area. The circulation route adopts a circular loop to reduce backturns and congestion points, ensuring the traffic diversion capacity during peak hours.
3.2 Display Cabinets and Props: Minimalism does not equal simplicity
The display cabinet uses black metal and ultra-white glass as its language, with slender frames and restrained lines, weakening the presence of the "cabinet" and drawing the visual focus to the products. The central island adopts modular countertops (600/900/1200mm modules), supporting quick changes and combination displays, and reducing the cost of seasonal and theme switching. The prop system (necklace holder, ring stand, earring rack) is grouped in terms of height and rhythm, providing a good visual experience from both the camera and the human eye.
3.3 Lighting Design: Layered lighting, with color rendering as the top priority
The base surface light ensures the skin feel and comfort. The key light adopts a high color rendering index light source with Ra≥95 and R9≥80, and the color temperature is controlled within the range of 3000-3500K, which can not only brighten metals and gemstones but also prevent them from appearing cold and hard. Anti-glare grilles and light control plates are used above the glass cabinet to prevent dazzling reflections. The end view, LOGO and niche configuration lines are polished, fully embodying the brand's "sense of ceremony".
3.4 Materials and Colors: Power within Restraint
The main color is based on low-saturation neutral gray and warm white, with matte black metal and fine finishes as accents. Locally introduce texture panels or stone textures to create a slight contrast and enhance the layers. In terms of material, it adheres to the principle of "stability, durability and easy maintenance" : wear-resistant and scratch-resistant countertop, anti-fingerprint metal edge banding, and pull-out light guide components, reducing daily depreciation and maintenance costs.
3.5 End View and First Screen: Three-Second Memory Point
Upon entering, the first screen is set with an end view background and a main promotional display, with a height controlled between 900 and 1100mm. Combined with shallow depth-of-field props and brand slogans, it forms a first screen that is "visible, well-photographed, and memorable". Leave sufficient clear width on both sides of the entrance to reduce the "entry pressure" and allow customers to smoothly enter the backflow line.
04 Usage and Operation: Designed for store staff and conversions
High-frequency area replenishment nearby: Drawer compartments and back cabinet storage are sorted by SKU sales to reduce the back-and-forth movement of store staff.
"Quick reception and quick closing: A light service desk is set up at the front to provide basic consultation and try-on guidance during peak hours, thereby increasing the speed of table turnover."
The SOP is replicable: display guidelines, lighting Angle markings, and store opening and closing checklists are packaged and output, making new store training and replication more efficient.
The content is friendly: The end shot position, mirror Angle and natural light point position all take into account "cinematability", which is conducive to the spread of UGC.
05 Construction and Restoration: Eliminate deviations in the factory
Factory end: Pre-assembly of structure, pre-installation of hardware, pre-wiring of circuits, three-round confirmation of color plates (material/color temperature/touch).
On-site end: Connect with commercial management for fire protection, strong and weak current, air conditioning outlet positions and maintenance openings. Set up special verification forms for key nodes (seams, corners, glass installation, lamp angles).
Delivery inspection: Illuminance/color rendering test, glare screening, display trial arrangement and circulation simulation; If the standard is not met, it will be repaired immediately until "what you see is what you get".
06 Cost and Cycle: Reduce costs without compromising experience
Reduce the cost of non-standard manufacturing through standardized modules and modular props; High-frequency wear parts are replaceable and easy to maintain. Under the premise of meeting the image requirements, the budget should be prioritized for the three key points of "product display capacity, lighting quality, and first-screen terminal view", to ensure that "money is spent where it is most needed". The entire construction period is completed within the set window to ensure the node goal of "opening upon delivery".
07 Results and Value: Transforming Spirit into Performance
This 110-square-meter "monologue" is not an abstract slogan, but a brand space that can be perceived, captured, shared and sold:
To customers: Clear memory points, comfortable trial wear, smooth movement lines;
For the staff: Restocking is convenient, the service path is short, and the display is easy to maintain.
For brands: unified image, replicable and expandable, and controllable costs.
Space enables "independence, simplicity and fashion" to no longer remain within the scope of copywriting, but to be transformed into measurable durations, try-on frequencies and conversion efficiency. This is a complete closed loop from strategy - design - manufacturing - construction - operation, and it is also the implementation standard that Picsharping Display has always adhered to: drawings = site, appearance level = performance.
Conclusion
When stores return to their essence of "serving commercial purposes", good design is no longer just about "looking good", but about "selling well". MONOLOGUE Suzhou Store, with an area of 110 square meters, proves that restrained aesthetics, clear circulation, standardized manufacturing and replicable Sops can definitely create an independent, confident and sustainable brand expression within a limited volume. If you are preparing for a new store or upgrading your store, we welcome you to discuss with us a faster, newer and more stable implementation plan.
