Analysis of the Space Design of YǏN Jewelry Concept Store
Project Positioning : YǏN is a high-end gold jewelry brand that advocates minimalist aesthetics. Its works use the metaphor of "golden tattoo" to emphasize the long-term companionship of jewelry with the wearer's body and spirit . In 2019, Odd was invited to complete its first concept boutique in Beijing. The design is intended to create an atmosphere like a "time container under the clouds" . In terms of the overall space design, the core appeal is a simple, quiet and poetic atmosphere , and to convey the brand's advocated "sense of companionship" and "spiritual resonance" concepts. The space is based on pure white and gold, with abstract cloud elements and moving light and shadow effects, deepening the warm and tough feeling of gold jewelry, forming a soft but powerful aesthetic expression .
The interior of the space uses a simple white tone with gold embellishments to create a quiet and elegant atmosphere. The designer regards the long display stand as the "sky" and hangs white cotton gauze curtains like cloud curtains to diffuse light . The titanium metal mirror suspended on the wall not only reflects the light to add a sense of transparency, but also echoes the brand's golden image, making the gold jewelry seem to float in the soft light. In addition, the designer described the store as "a wonderland under a sea of clouds". The south entrance uses open floor-to-ceiling glass to ensure lighting; the interior uses curtains and gauze to extend and blur in the space, weakening the boundary of the end of the line of sight, giving people the feeling of walking in the clouds . The ceiling design uses an undulating arc structure , which on the one hand eliminates the height difference of the original cast-in-place structure, and on the other hand echoes the curtain to jointly create a flowing "cloud" shape.
